Ayurvedic formulations combine many herbs, and the weakest one decides the quality of the whole. The commonest failures are not exotic: the wrong species sold under a shared trade name, a ratio extract with no marker behind it, or heavy metals that were never tested.
SV Botanica supplies classical Ayurvedic herbs as standardised and ratio extracts to manufacturers in India and abroad, with the botanical name, plant part, extract type and assay method declared for every lot. A full formulation can be quoted as one through our multi-ingredient sourcing route.
The Checks That Matter
Four points we settle on paper before material is supplied.
Species identity
Shankhpushpi is claimed by four species in four genera, giloy is confused with Tinospora crispa, and ashoka with Polyalthia. Every lot is declared by binomial.
Standardised or ratio
A 10:1 ratio extract says how much herb went in, not what came out. Where a marker exists, we state it with its assay method.
Heavy metals
Roots, lianas and resins pick up metals from soil. Lead, cadmium, arsenic and mercury are reported for every lot.
Pharmacopoeia references
Where an Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India monograph exists for the plant part, tell us and we confirm whether the material can be specified against it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you supply Ayurvedic and herbal medicine manufacturers?
Yes. We supply standardised and ratio extracts of classical Ayurvedic herbs, with the botanical name, plant part and assay method declared for every lot.
How do you handle species confusion?
Every lot is declared by its full botanical name, and identity is confirmed against reference material. This matters most where several plants share a trade name, such as shankhpushpi, giloy, ashoka and manjistha.
Can specifications reference the Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India?
Where an Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India monograph exists for the plant part, tell us and we confirm whether the material can be specified against it before quoting.
Do you supply small quantities for formulation trials?
Yes. Within India, trial orders start at 1 kg per herb, with GST invoices and pan-India courier dispatch.
Do you hold the manufacturing licence for the finished product?
No. Your Ayurvedic manufacturing licence and GMP obligations stay with you as the manufacturer of the finished product. SV Botanica supplies documented raw materials and extracts.
