A botanical that works in a capsule can fail in a drink. It may not dissolve, it may cloud a clear beverage, it may turn bitter at the dose the claim needs, or its colour may shift with pH and heat. Beverage development starts with the format, not the ingredient name, and that is how we quote.
SV Botanica supplies extracts, oleoresins and nutraceutical ingredients to beverage developers working on ready-to-drink, powdered and alcoholic products. Send a brief with several ingredients and we quote it as one, through our multi-ingredient sourcing route.
What Matters in a Beverage
The questions we settle with your R&D team before a grade is quoted.
Solubility and clarity
Standard dry extracts are often only partly water-soluble. Clear drinks need water-soluble grades; shakes and sachets tolerate dispersible ones.
Taste
Catechins, withanolides and many bitter principles rise with the dose. We state the assay so you can find the lowest effective inclusion.
Colour and stability
Hibiscus anthocyanins shift with pH, beetroot betanin is heat-sensitive and curcumin barely dissolves in water. The grade has to suit the process.
Declared composition
Carriers such as maltodextrin, and caffeine in green tea or green coffee extracts, are declared, so label maths starts from real numbers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which extracts are suitable for beverages?
It depends on the format. Clear drinks need water-soluble material; protein shakes, powdered sachets and cloudy drinks tolerate dispersible grades. Ginger, green tea, hibiscus, tulsi, moringa, beetroot and pomegranate extracts are common starting points, and amino-acid nutraceuticals such as L-theanine and GABA are widely used in functional drinks.
Do you offer water-soluble or water-dispersible grades?
Water-soluble and water-dispersible forms are available on request for several extracts. Tell us the beverage format and target dose and we confirm what can be supplied before quoting.
Can you share samples for R&D trials?
Yes. Trial quantities are available so your team can test solubility, taste and stability on the material you would buy at scale. Within India, trial orders start at 1 kg.
Who is responsible for the beverage's regulatory status?
The brand owner registers or notifies the finished product in its market. We supply the ingredient documentation that supports it. Our market access checker summarises the status of each herbal extract in the EU, Mexico, Latin America and China.
Do you supply alcoholic beverage producers?
Yes. Botanical extracts and oleoresins are supplied to both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage developers. Product compliance in the finished drink remains with the producer.
