Last updated: 20 August 2026. How the technical content in our Insights section is researched, written, reviewed and corrected — and what it is not.
All content in the Insights section is published by SV Botanica Private Limited, a private company limited by shares incorporated in India (CIN U21009MR2026PTC479885), registered office Office No. 1044, Roongta Shopping Hub, Indira Nagar, Nashik, Maharashtra 422009, India. Editorial questions and corrections: info@svbotanica.com.
Our Insights articles exist to help B2B buyers evaluate botanical ingredients: how material is graded, how marker compounds are assayed, how adulteration is detected, and what to require on a certificate of analysis.
This content is not legal, regulatory, medical or nutritional advice. It is written to orient a technical buyer, not to substitute for your own compliance review, your own qualified advisers, or the regulations in force in your market. Nothing here is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Decisions about product formulation, labelling and market authorisation remain yours.
We work from primary sources wherever one exists, and we cite instruments by their identifier so a reader can retrieve them independently:
Technical figures are easy to misread, so we hold to three rules:
Regulations are amended, replaced and repealed. Citations on any page reflect our understanding as at the date shown on that page, and we update pages when we become aware of a change. Readers must verify against the instrument currently in force in their destination market before relying on it for a compliance decision. If you find a citation that has been superseded, tell us and we will correct it.
Articles are produced by SV Botanica, drawing on the sources set out above. Pages that have additionally been reviewed by a named subject-matter reviewer carry that reviewer's name and the date of review at the top of the article. Pages without a named reviewer have not had one — we do not apply the credit generally, because a review credit is only worth anything if it is specific.
Our current reviewer for analytical, authenticity and sourcing content is Kavita Shah, Director, who holds a master's degree in food and nutrition science.
We correct errors of fact rather than quietly removing pages. If you believe something here is wrong — a specification figure, a regulation reference, a botanical name, a trade classification — write to info@svbotanica.com with the page and the issue. Substantive corrections are made to the page and the review or update date is changed to reflect it.
We should be direct about this: SV Botanica sells the ingredients it writes about. This content is produced by a supplier, not by an independent standards body, a laboratory or a trade association, and it is intended in part to demonstrate that we understand what we sell. We think that is a reasonable basis for a technical article, provided the reader knows it — so we are telling you. Where an article compares approaches, grades or specifications, we have tried to describe the trade-offs as they are rather than as they would flatter us, and several of our pages recommend controls that cost us money to meet.
Product photography is illustrative and does not depict a specific batch. Figures attributed to third-party sources are cited to those sources. Where we state a market or trade fact without a citation, treat it as our commercial view rather than a published statistic.
