Tulsi (Ocimum tenuiflorum L.), or Holy Basil, is among the most revered plants in Ayurveda, where it is known as the "Queen of Herbs" and used as a classical rasayana and adaptogen for immunity, respiratory wellness and stress balance. The leaf is rich in triterpenoid acids, rosmarinic acid and an aromatic essential oil, and concentrated, standardised extracts let formulators deliver those actives at a controlled, verifiable specification.
The characteristic constituents of Tulsi are its triterpenoid acids — notably ursolic acid and oleanolic acid — together with rosmarinic acid, eugenol, ocimumosides and a broad flavonoid and polyphenol complex.
