Bacopa monnieri — Brahmi — is a classical Medhya Rasayana (brain tonic) of Ayurveda, used for centuries to support memory, learning and mental clarity. Its activity is attributed to a family of dammarane-type triterpenoid saponins called bacosides, concentrated in the whole herb (aerial parts).
SV Botanica supplies Brahmi Extract as a whole-herb dry extract standardized to 20% bacosides, assayed by UV spectrophotometry and identified by TLC/HPTLC. It is processed in GMP-certified facilities in India and screened by ICP-MS for heavy metals with a full microbial panel before release. (EU) 2019/1793) for ethylene oxide, so pre-test ETO and plan for a CHED-D entry; pesticide MRLs (Reg. 396/2005) and heavy-metal limits apply, and labelling must comply with Regulation (EU) 1169/2011. Marketed as a dietary ingredient under DSHEA (21 CFR Part 111) with a long history of use. No pre-market approval is required, but importer facility registration with the FDA is needed.
