About White Pepper (Whole & Ground)

White pepper is produced from fully ripe black pepper berries that are soaked in water and the outer hull is removed, revealing the white/cream-coloured inner berry. The result is a cleaner, slightly less pungent pepper with a distinct earthy, fermented character preferred in light-coloured dishes and European cuisine.

SV Botanica sources white pepper from Kerala's established pepper processing facilities. The berries are carefully ripe-picked from Malabar estates, processed using traditional water-soaking or mechanical hulling, and dried to export specification. Both whole and ground grades available.

Why Indian White Pepper

Indian white pepper from Kerala Malabar estates has the same piperine quality as Tellicherry black pepper but in a clean white form — preferred by European food manufacturers for cream sauces, white meat products, and light-coloured food applications where black specks are undesirable.

Origin & Traceability

Sourced from Wayanad and Idukki districts of Kerala. Processed at APEDA-certified facilities using both traditional retting and mechanical hulling methods. Piperine content tested per lot.
